射频等离子体中和器的设计与实验研究

Design and Experimental Study on Radio Frequency Plasma Neutralizer

  • 摘要: 随着电推进技术的发展,对具有高抗中毒性中和器的需求日益紧迫。为此,基于射频放电基本原理,设计了一款可采用多种工质且具有高抗中毒能力的射频等离子体中和器,搭建了真空实验平台进行试验研究,获得了发射电流随射频功率和氙气流量的变化曲线。工质气体电离后,离子被置于放电室内的石墨柱负电极收集,电子被置于放电室出口外的金属板正电极引出。研究结果表明,该射频等离子体中和器能有效地发射电子形成电流,且增大射频功率和氙气流量可以提高电流。当射频功率达到220 W,流量达到或超过4 mL/min(标准状态)时,中和器发射电流达到1 A以上。因此,射频等离子体中和器作为电推力器羽流离子中和装置具有一定的研究价值和应用前景。

     

    Abstract: With the development of electric propulsion technology,there is an increasingly urgent need for neutralizers with high toxicity resistance. For this reason,based on the fundamental principle of radio frequency discharge,a radio frequency plasma neutralizer that can use various working media and has high toxicity resistance is designed,and a vacuum experiment system is built for experimental research. The curve of the emission current varied with radio frequency power and xenon flow is acquired. After the working gas is ionized,ions are collected by a graphite negative electrode placed in the discharge chamber,and electrons are extracted by a metal plate positive electrode outside the discharge chamber outlet. The results show that the radio frequency plasma neutralizer can effectively emit electrons to form a current,and the increase of radio power and xenon flow rate can increase the current. When the radio frequency power exceeds 220 W and the flow rate reaches or exceeds 4 mL/min,the emission current of the neutralizer can reach 1 A or more. Thus,the radio frequency plasma neutralizer served as an ion neutralization device for electric thruster plume has certain research value and application prospects.
