Abstract:
We addressed the deposition of sintered Ni-layer by screen printing on substrate of Mo-Mn metallized 95% alumina ceramic. The influence of the recipe of Mo-Mn metallized coating,particle-size and Ni-layer thickness on the microstructures and tensile-strength of welded seam was investigated with scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy and tensile strength measurement for optimization of welding conditions. The results show that the Mo-content,grain-size and Ni-layer thickness all had a major impact.Under the optimized conditions:a Mo mass fraction of 70%,a Ni-particle size of 1.872 μm and a sintered Ni-layer thickness in 6~12 μm rang, high quality welded seam formed with continuous, dense and compact Ni-layer.The tensile strength of the welded standard ceramic tensile parts was estimated to be 116 MPa,meeting well the requirements of industry standards.
