Development of the Synchrotron Radiation Extraction System for the High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) Booster
-
Abstract
To calculate parameters such as the emittance and energy spread of the high-energy beam in the High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) booster, it is necessary to extract the synchrotron radiation from the beamline through an extraction system. This paper studies the components of the synchrotron radiation extraction system, the manufacturing and testing technologies of each component, and develops the core component of the extraction system, a high-precision mirror. The mirror surface had a roughness of 0.53–0.94 nm and shape accuracy of 27.9–63 nm before brazing, and after brazing, the surface roughness was 0.625–0.977 nm with a shape accuracy of 58–95 nm. After baking the ultra-high vacuum chamber of the extraction system, the internal ultimate vacuum reached 9.1×10−8 Pa, the vacuum leak rate was 8.7×10−12 Pa·m3/s, and ultra-high vacuum storage was achieved.
