Design of the Alignment Device for Dipole Magnet in Lanzhou Heavy Ion Accelerator

  • In view of the low transmission efficiency of the radioactive beam line RIBLL2 in the Lanzhou heavy ion accelerator due to factors such as foundation settlement, according to the characteristics of the four Ctype dipole magnets on RIBLL2, which are heavy in weight, complex in structure and difficult to lift, a set of collimation measurement adjustment device is designed to re-collimate 4 C-type dipole magnets. At the same time, SolidWorks 3D software is used to establish its solid model and then import it into ANSYS Workbench software for finite element static analysis to check the deformation and stress distribution to ensure the structure is stable and reliable.The on-site alignment adjustment results show that the device has a compact structure, high bearing capacity and simple operation, and can be used as a tool for alignment adjustment of other heavy structural elements.
