Design and Application of Vacuum Gate Valve in Hypersonic Wind Tunnel

  • In this paper,the characteristics of various vacuum valves are studied. Combined with the special requirements of the wind tunnel engineering process,a large-diameter vacuum gate valve suitable for the process requirements is designed. The characteristics of the valve plate action mechanism are studied. The vacuum system control and flow control are realized through the actions of full opening,full closing and parking at any position of the valve. The unique valve plate pressing and releasing structure is designed to realize the reliable sealing and action of the valve. The valve structure has been simulated,calculated and verified. The engineering application shows that the valve is suitable for the wind tunnel process requirements and can be used as the switch component of the vacuum system in blow suction hypersonic wind tunnel.
