Abstract
Nickel oxide and polyaniline are typical inorganic/organic electrochromic materials, each with its advantages and disadvantages. If the two materials are combined,a NiO/PANI composite with better electrochromic properties can be obtained. In this paper, nickel oxide(NiO)nanowires/polyaniline(PANI)and the nickel oxide nanosheet/polyaniline core-shell nanostructures were prepared by hydrothermal method and electropolymerization.By scanning electron microscope,Raman spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and electrochemical measurement device, the morphology, structure, composition, and electrochromic properties of the nanocomposite structure were studied. The results show that the electrochromic properties of the composite NiO/PANI nanowire core-shell structures are significantly enhanced in both visible and near-infrared regions. The electrochromic performance of the NiO/PANI nanosheet core-shell structure is weakened in the visible light region, but the optical contrast in the near-infrared region is significantly enhanced. This work will provide a useful reference for the research of new low-dimensional inorganic/organic nanostructured electrochromic materials and devices.
