Temperature Distribution of Vacuum Interrupter Under Different Contact Pressures

  • As an important unit of power supply, each part of the switchgear must not exceed the allowable temperature.The performance of vacuum interrupter, a core component of vacuum switch and circuit breaker, under a rising temperature mainly depends on the circuit resistance.In this work, we investigate the temperature rise of static and dynamic conductor rods in arc extinguishing chamber under different contact pressure and different roughness of contact surface.The influence of contact pressure and roughness of contact surface on temperature rise of arc extinguishing chamber is analyzed.The change trend of temperature rise under different contact pressure and surface roughness of contact is obtained.This work is helpful to the choice of contact material and surface roughness and the design of shape in the design of vacuum arc extinguishing chamber.
