Beam-Guide Gate-Type Complex Detection Mechanism Based on Energy Loss in Coupling of Two Microchannel Plates

  • Herein, we addressed the astronomical complex detection technique, based on the microchannel beam-guide gate-type spatial modulation and from the perspectives of position and energy resolutions. First, the mechanism, responsible for the electron beam spatialbeam-guidein microchannel photomultipliers, was theoretically analyzed. Second, the influence of the properties of the electronic optical system on the space optical transfer characteristics was investigated for desgn optimization of the complex detection device. Finally, the prototyped complex detection device was desgned and fabricated by means the microchannel beam-guide gate-type spatial modulation. The test results show that when it comes to imaging and detection dynanics in space, the newly-devloped complex detection device outperforms the one we reported previously10.
